8th & 9th Days

Sunday was not a day I was looking forward to, because in the afternoon, we would present our workshop for the first time, and I hadn't had the time to prepare my part very well, so I woke up at 9:30 and I was thinking "plenty of time until 3 pm !!" but then Xuan Minh came into my room and reminded me that we were going to have a buffet on a ferry along the Saigon River today and that we were leaving at 10:30 !! So first reaction : Oups !! I'll better hurry !! But then Xuan Minh was nice enough to let me present to her my part more than three times in a row, and at the end it was ok. We had a really nice lunch on that ferry, with music and every thing, and a lot of nice typical vietnamese dishes.

In the afternoon we had our meeting in a library/café in front of a university, and it lasted ... Four and a half hours !! But as always, it was very productive and interesting, we really have a good team here, and our team leader, Nhung, is always in a good mood and full of energy and motivation !! Our workshops will be in english most of the time, and it will be translated by some of our team members, into vietnamese. I have to say, I'm a bit jealous not to be able to do that, but well I don't know any vietnamese ...

Monday was a really lazy day for me, I was actually going to meet the girls to prepare some things for the presentations and then go to the Vietnam War Museum, and after that up to the tower at night to have a nice view of the city, but I overslept until 11:30 and decided to "chill" for a while. I went to town later in the afternoon, did some shopping and walked around, and at 5 pm (half an hour before I had to meet the girls in front of the tower), Carlijn called me and canceled the evening because it was going to rain and it wouldn't be any fun. So I simply went home and enjoyed the rest of the evening with my host family.
