We took our booked bus at 7am and it took us about five and a half hours to get to Mui Ne. The landscapes were fantastic. First - as always - it took us a little while to get out of the city and its suburbs, but then it became greener and greener and the sun began to shine and it felt really great ! I love Ho Chi Minh City very much but when I get out of it, I feel that I had missed silence and nature a lot, so it's a good change every time we travel !

Along the way we saw a lot of these asian cows (at least they look different from the cows in Europe...) and a lot of fields and plantations, and we saw mostly these dragon fruit plantations (the dragon fruit is the fruit of a cactus). The bus then dropped us out in front of our hotel (three stars for only 15 euros per night, with swimming pool and every thing !), and after having had a look around we went to the pool and had a swim. It is really sad because actually Mui Ne is at the Ocean, but because of a typhoon caused by the earthquake in Japan, the beaches have been devastated and now the water is pretty dirty and there are almost no tourists any more (good for us!).
We met a german couple and they told us that the best way to get to the sand dunes (that was our plan for the next day) was ... to rent motorbikes !! So after some reflection we decided that we would do it, so we already used them in the evening to drive around the little town which is Mui Ne (more of a series of hotels at the beach with some restaurants and spas etc.) and had some dinner. It was great, and also the first time we would drive on those things !!
